2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV)
18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
How do you know how your face looks like? Could you ever see your eyes? No, nobody can! We know how we look thanks to a reflection, that is, we look in the mirror. Have you ever said: “this mirror lies, I look different”? No, nobody does anything like that! When we look into a clear mirror, we can simply believe that what we see is our own face!
Likewise, if you want to know how your soul looks like – which you cannot know through your physical senses- you must look in the Word of God, praying that the Holy Spirit will reveal you the truth. People can tell you that you are one way or another, according to their own perception of you, but your identity is what God say about you. He is the only One that has the authority to tell you who you are!
And if you allow the Truth of the Scriptures to enter your heart, if you assimilate it into making it a part of your being, He will change you in areas that you may have fought for years, He will free you from addictions, He will bring you healing and health, He will restore you in all aspects of your personality, and will do for you more than you believe or think! In fact, the fullness of God’s life will dwell in you!
